The meeting was dedicated to action planning for the November mid-term elections. Members and newcomers alike gathered to hear guest speaker Chris Diaz, Field Director for the Josh Welle for Congress campaign in district 4, and Debbie Dunne and Katherine Sawyers, Welle campaign volunteers and members of “Women Vote Welle,” an offshoot of the campaign. The message delivered by all three speakers: get involved – you can make a difference! Diaz encouraged attendees to volunteer for “door knocking,” face to face encounters with voters and the most effective way to deliver a positive message about the candidates. Volunteers are also needed to host phone calling and postcard writing parties.
